I have been fascinated with horses ever since I can remember. I realized the need for professionally designed web sites in the horse industry when I was looking to have one designed for a local farm I was working for. Unfortunately, the technically trained professionals I encountered didn't know the first thing about horses! When I turned to the people that were designing web sites specifically for equines, I found that they were mostly amateurs that did not have the technical knowledge I required...in other words, they couldn't do "cool stuff" like sound, animation, and video!

Determined to save the equine industry from the impending doom of hokey web sites, I took it upon myself to go back to school to learn how to do the "cool stuff "!

Recently, I was fortunate enough to work with Robert Vavra (world famous photographer!) on his new book "Stallions of the Quest." Meeting Vavra was a dream come true for me as I've been collecting his books for many years. I was so happy to find out when it was published that my own horse "PJ" made it into the book! It was great to find out he also shared a love of my favorite breed of dog - basenjis. Robert and my basenji, Mowgli, got along famously. Every once in a while when I hear from Robert he always says "give Mowgli a kiss for me." (It still freaks me out when I hear "Kim, Robert Vavra's on the phone!") He is just as nice as he is gifted...I feel very fortunate to have met him. It was a great honor to have had a part in the creation of this beautiful book.
